Reminder for Utility Customers!
Improper disposal of materials into the public sewer system can cause backups into your home, your neighbor's home, or lead to issues along the rest of the system causing sewer lines to become obstructed, manholes to overflow into the streets, or onto the ground, which may negatively impact aquatic life in streams and nearby lakes.
Improperly disposed objects and materials into the public sewer system can cause pump station failures and process failures at the local wastewater treatment facility, which leads to costly repairs and added maintenance for the City of Danville, and our Citizens.
DO FLUSH: Toilet paper and human waste only
DON'T FLUSH: Diapers, facial/baby wipes, fats/cooking oils and grease, rags/towels, feminine hygiene products, cigarette butts, expired medication, plastics, metal objects, or similar products which may not adequately break down in the sanitary sewer system.
