City Awarded Grant for Trail Crossing on Stanford Avenue

While in town for the Central Fire Station  Grand Opening, the Governor dropped off a check for $96,000 to fund the  construction of a trail crossing on Stanford Avenue.  This new crossing  will be near the intersection of Stanford Avenue and David Drive where  the existing Clarks Run Trail and Henson Trail currently meet.  The  project will include signage, striping and a pedestrian refuge island to  protect users as they navigate the trail crossing.

The  Recreational Trails Program out of the Governor's Department for Local  Government has supported several projects in Danville and the award of  this year's grant displays the Governor's commitment to recreational  trails in Danville and the safety of pedestrians and cyclists.  Please  click here to visit the project page and get more details about the project.
