Henson Park Health & Rehabilitation was ranked as the second largest nursing home in Boyle County for the first quarter of 2026, based on data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Records indicate the facility offered 90 total beds—8 fewer than the Boyle County average for the first quarter of 2026—and cared for an average of 78.2 residents during that time.

The CMS assigned Henson Park Health & Rehabilitation an overall rating of 1 out of 5, which is lower than the Kentucky statewide average rating of 3 for nursing homes.

Danville Centre for Health & Rehabilitation held the top spot as the largest Boyle County nursing home in the quarter, providing 106 available beds.

By the close of the first quarter of 2026, Henson Park Health & Rehabilitation had incurred $369,133 in total fines across 20 violations, in addition to facing 21 penalties.

Altogether, Boyle County, Kentucky, had 2 for-profit nursing homes during this period.

Estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau highlight continued growth of the nation’s older adult population, with the number of individuals 65 and older rising 13% between 2020 and 2024, while the under-18 population decreased by 1.7%. Over the past 100 years, the older adult population has expanded significantly, moving from 4.9 million in 1920 to more than 61 million in 2024.

A 2021 study estimates that around half of adults ages 65 and up—nearly 28 million—will need long-term services and support, with projections that over a third may ultimately require nursing home care.

“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
